These opportunities don’t come along all that often so I grabbed this one with both hands. Together with James Bianco from 16 Degrees, we designed and delivered 2 days of facilitation over 3 in the Ashanti region in Ghana.

Working with a leadership team that represented all the parts of the complex business of planting trees sustainably, right through to shipping the final product globally this was a challenging one. A recent change in structure of the team, mostly working remotely as they are internationally spread along with significant cultural differences across the team means that having effective and clear communication and investing the time when together on practising that is essential.
This is my dream work in all honesty – spending real time in real life with people who really know and care about what they are trying to do. We worked with the team on conflic resolution, on building learning rituals into the team, on calrifying and dispelling misunderstandings and assumptions across the team and identifying what kind of team they actually wanted to be.
